This personalized lesson is perfect for diving into the world of ceramics while enjoying a creative and relaxed time.
You’ll get plenty of one-on-one attention to ensure you feel confident and inspired.
No experience is needed, beginners are welcome!
During our session, I’ll guide you through the basics of throwing Clay on the potter’s wheel, from wedging to centering, opening, pulling up, and learning to create basic shapes.
I’ll explain trimming, surface decoration, the use of tools, and the firing and glazing processes.
• We’ll start with a demonstration and step-by-step instructions, focusing on creating your unique piece.
• You will have enough time to experience making a few pots.
• We will leave 10 minutes for cleaning.
When the project is finished, you will leave it in my studio so it can get dry. Then, I will glaze it in clear glaze, fire it twice in my kiln, and it will be ready for pick up after two to three weeks.
You can choose to have it glazed and fired by me or to come back for another trimming and glazing session and do it yourself. Coming for another session is with extra charges.

Hey there, I’m Kesem!
As a ceramic designer and a Life and Creative Coach, I’ve worked with various clay techniques for the past 20 years, developing a deep understanding of this beautiful medium. Running my clay studio here in Amsterdam, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching countless workshops and hosting fun events for groups. From team-building sessions to party workshops, I’ve done it all!
